Lumex Instruments Canada is searching for Sales Specialist to be a part of modern technology company. We work for those who are engaged in unravelling the mysteries of smallest differences in chemical composition. For them, we develop analytical procedures and design new original instruments and equipment. Our products include Capillary Electrophoresis instruments, Atomic Absorption spectrometers, PCR analyzers, FTIR Spectrometers, Fluorimeters, and Industrial Analytical instruments.

Lumex Instruments Canada is hiring a Sales Specialist for our Northern American and Latin American Sales Territories. This person will be responsible for providing a variety of sales/support functions, as needed by the Field Sales and Technical Support staff. The Sales Specialist must also possess the ability to plan, organize and effectively complete projects assigned by the Marketing Director, as well as other related duties that may be assigned from time to time. This is an entry-level position with the intent to develop into a Regional Manager or Project Manager position after adequate training.

Description:
  • Responsible for generating existing and/or new sales for assigned territory, industry and for identifying and recruiting partners to resell company products
  • Promotes and sells products to current or new customers/partners and informs customers of new product introductions
  • Responsible for developing customers and maintaining their satisfaction
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
  • Prepare reports providing sales data, market trends, forecasts
  • Assisting with the development and execution of marketing strategy
  • Prepare marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Participate in the designing and preparing marketing materials
  • Develop and manage special events
  • Participate in preparation for and execution of the company's digital projects Create and update content for company on-line resource as needed
  • Compile on-line resource analytic reports for review and collaborate on changes to the effectiveness of the website
  • Collaborate with the company departments, including foreign divisions
  • Set up and coordinate technical product presentations on customer’s site or locally
  • Participate in the organization and management of technical support to customers Work with Regional Managers by attending trade shows, visiting customers, overseeing demo units, and providing technical support
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 Years of Age
  • Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree in Chemistry Chemistry, Biochemistry, and related areas or equivalent
  • Analytical Chemistry experience recommended
  • Marketing and sales B2B experience an asset, but not required
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills
  • Highly adaptable and independent
  • Fluent speaking and writing English and Spanish
  • Must be available for up to 50% business travel, including to Latin America
